Becoming a Registered Nurse

1. Become a Registered Nurse:

    You must first become a registered nurse in one of the four nursing disciplines: adult, children’s, mental health, or learning disability nursing.


    2. Gain Experience:

    Some GPNs start their careers directly in general practice, while others gain experience in hospitals before transitioning to primary care.


    3. Pursue Further Training:

    Additional training and education are needed after becoming a registered nurse to sin general practice nursing.
