Palliative Care Emergencies

Gain confidence in recognising and managing common end‑of‑life emergencies, including spinal cord compression, hypercalcemia, and hemorrhage, while developing the skills to have supportive, forward‑planning conversations with patients and families.

Learning Objectives:

  • To improve understanding about common end of life emergencies.
  • To explore assessment and management of spinal cord compression, hypercalcemia and hemorrhage.
  • To be confident in having conversations to assist planning with patients and families.
