Suitable for:
All staff working in a registered health and/or social care setting that make decisions about the care of people with learning disabilities and/or autism.
As of July 2022, all registered health and social care providers are now required to provide training for their staff in learning disability and autism, including how to interact appropriately with autistic people and people who have a learning disability.

The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism is a standardised, government-recommended training package designed to ensure consistent, high-quality learning across the health and social care sector.

✔ It aligns with national standards and best practices, as recognised by leading advisory bodies in health and social care
✔ Staff receive the essential knowledge and understanding required by the Health and Care Act 2022
This presentation forms part of The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism Tier 2 training programme. The content has been developed and approved nationally, in collaboration with experts with lived experience, subject matter experts, and the NHS England national team, to ensure consistency, quality assurance, and compliance with the standards set for the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training.
To maintain the integrity and fidelity of the programme, to comply with regulations, we must not amend, remove, or alter any of the slides. Trainers and facilitators are expected to deliver the content as provided within the nationally approved materials.

Facilities and Catering:
All refreshments, the buffet lunch, venue costs, training materials and provision of specialist trainers are included in the course fee. If delegates have any access or dietary needs please ensure these are clearly identified at the time of booking by updating your account profile.
This is a live teaching session, presented in person at the venue. This session will not be streamed or recorded for future reference. Delegates will be sent additional information and meeting details in the week prior to the teaching session.

There is plenty of free parking available in the main car park at Cullompton Community Centre.
