Giving patients choice – Tissue donation & Treatment Escalation Plans (TEPs)

This session aims to support you to feel more confident to discuss choices around tissue donation. Clarifies your responsibilities around Treatment Escalation Plans (TEPs), highlighting when it would be appropriate to request one for those in your care.
Learning Objectives:
- Develop a clear understanding of the Treatment Escalation Plan (TEP) form, including its purpose, use in clinical settings, and the fact that it is not a legally binding document.
- Identify appropriate situations and clinical triggers for reassessing and updating the TEP form to ensure it reflects current patient needs and preferences.
- Demonstrate foundational knowledge of tissue donation, and build confidence in initiating and supporting informed, compassionate discussions with patients and families about their donation choices.
