Dealing with aggression at the GP Reception
May 16, 2024 @ 1:30 pm - 4:00 pm
£35Dealing with aggression at the GP reception
We wish this training wasn’t necessary, unfortunately it is. Incidents of aggressive behaviour towards GP reception staff seems to be on the rise. In this informative and sensitive training session we examine the reasons and causes behind this issue and when does aggression become violent behaviour? What exactly does zero tolerance mean and how can it be supported practically in the practice and what does the law say? We uncover a range of unique skills and approaches to de-escalation – let’s be observant and try to stop anger escalating where we can, and know what to do in situations where we can’t. We will work through a comprehensive range of techniques and approaches recommended by NHS Protect ® with the aim of keeping ourselves safe whilst still being patient-centred.
