Unscheduled Bleeding Webinar
May 21 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm
FreeHere at GatewayC we’re delighted to be working with NHS England to bring primary care staff a free lunchtime learning webinar on unscheduled vaginal bleeding.
This webinar, being held on Wednesday 21 May 2025 12:30-1:15pm, gives all primary care staff the chance to take part in some bite-sized learning and ask questions of the specialist speaker, Dr Helena O’Flynn.
Helena is a GP and Greater Manchester’s Early Diagnosis Lead for Gynaecological Cancers, she is also Deputy Chair of Peaches Womb Cancer Trust charity.
In the webinar she will be discussing postmenopausal bleeding and when it’s a red flag symptom for cancer, the risk factors for endometrial cancer, how to manage bleeding in your patients, what examinations you can carry out on a patient to help determine a diagnosis and when to refer into secondary care. There is also a Q&A opportunity so you can get in any key questions you’ve got.
Register for this webinar on our website here and please do pass on to your own networks and colleagues.
This webinar is one of the many free resources we have for primary care staff to help diagnose cancer earlier and work towards the NHS’ goal of detecting more cancers in stages 1 and 2 by 2028.
We have a range of short, interactive courses on a range of cancer types and screening programmes, we also release fortnightly bite-sized reads, called Cancer Keys, on emerging topics, highlighting the latest studies, guidelines, and advancements in cancer care knowledge, providing practical take home messages for you to use in your clinical practice. We have our GP’s Talk Cancer podcast, where hosts Sarah and Rebecca chat to specialists about cancer types, their own practice changes and bring to life to some case studies to see guidance in action. All this is available for free for all primary care staff, simply register for an account with us on our website.
