Suitable for: Anyone who works in a professional environment and is asked to take minutes during formal meetings.
This course is designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge to produce clear, accurate and legally robust minutes.
Learning Outcomes:
- Define the importance and usefulness of minute taking during meetings.
- Describe the role of the minute taker before, during and after a meeting.
- Outline the pre-meeting preparations for minute taking and what to do during a meeting.
- Explain how the action triangle can help write actions, decisions and outcomes of a meeting.
- Discuss the responsibilities of a minute taker, tasks involved and solutions to common problems faced in minute taking.
- Summarise how technology can help minute takers
It is expected that you will attend the session virtually from a quiet location at which you will not be disturbed, and you will have access to a microphone and camera on your device. Every delegate must have their own device to use throughout this session. This is a requirement for attending this interactive course.
