Medical terminology – online training

£40Mainly suitable for members of the practice team undertaking such roles as medical secretaries; summarisers and coders. However, all non-clinical admin/reception staff will find it useful and interesting.
Aim of the Course: By the end of this workshop delegates should have improved their understanding of medical terminology and the systems within the body. They should be able to use this knowledge at work to enhance their understanding of terms and abbreviations which in turn will increase effectiveness and job satisfaction. |

· To learn more about the more common medical terms with a basic understanding of anatomy linked to systems within the body. |
Course Overview:
· Overview of word structures and how they are made up · Cardiovascular System · Blood and the Lymphatic System · Digestive System · Respiratory System · Urinary System · Nervous System · The Sensory Organs · Muscular & Skeletal System · Reproductive System · Endocrine System · Tests and abbreviations
At the end of each section delegates will work together to do small quizzes and challenges to aid their understanding and make the course as interactive as possible. All delegates registering will receive information sheets and a workbook which they will need to participate in the workshop.
