Am I eligible for this course?
- This course is only available to those aged 16 or above who are currently living and/or working in Devon.
- This is an entry-level course; no previous training or experience is required.
Is this course right for me?
- If you have been recently impacted by suicide or experienced thoughts of suicide yourself, we would not recommend you attending at this time – further training opportunities will be available.
- Whilst this is an entry-level course, it is intensive. To complete the course, delegates will need to attend the course in full, which includes participation in suicide intervention roleplays.
What happens next?
- After booking your ticket, a place on the course will be reserved for you and you will receive a confirmation email from Eventbrite allowing you to add the event to your electronic calendar.
- A couple days before your course, you will receive an email from training@petesdragons.org.uk containing the joining instructions for your session. If you would benefit from receiving this email earlier, please let us know.
What if I can no longer attend?
- If you are no longer able to attend the training, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can try to offer your space to someone else.
- This course has been kindly funded by West Devon Local Care Partnership but does require a minimum number of participants attending on the day for it to proceed. ‘No shows’ can result in courses having to be cancelled without warning, wasting other participants time and vital public funds, so we really appreciate any notice you can give us.
- You can cancel your place by contacting us on 01395 277780 or training@petesdragons.org.uk. Alternatively, your order confirmation email from Eventbrite will contain a link to view and manage your booking directly.
