Suitable for: Experienced Registered Healthcare Professionals that see Diabetes patients and will be overseeing insulin therapies in general practice.
This brand new education day consists of classroom-based theory and practical learning, designed to provide delegates with the knowledge and skills to support diabetes management in primary care.
The objective is to facilitate tailored clinical support for patients who are starting insulin therapies for the first time. This training will reference local formularies and consultant-led best practice.
This course will cover Insulin Initiation in Primary Care: a theoretical and practical guide. Learning through presentations, small group work, case studies and practical demonstrations to provide the knowledge and skills to understand the principles of initiating insulin.
It is intended is for healthcare professionals who already have experience in diabetes management but would like to include insulin initiation for people with type 2 diabetes as part of their clinical role, or for those who already initiate insulin but feel that they need basic revision.
