The Clinical Assessment, Diagnosis & Management of COPD
This 6 week, 8 hour CPD e-learning module is suitable for healthcare professionals who are looking to enhance their knowledge and skills in COPD utilising the most up to date evidence-based guidance. The module is delivered through a combination of interactive e-learning hosted in Google Classroom, case studies and live webinar sessions hosted via Zoom.
Two weeks before the first webinar: 9th February 2027
This the date from which you will be able to access the e-learning content in Google Classroom. There are no live webinars to attend this day but please ensure you log into Google Classroom on this date to ensure you receive notifications of communication through the classroom.
Three webinars with Laura Rush, spanning 6 weeks.

We will send you the meeting details for the three webinars that you are required to attend. To complete the course you need to attend all these sessions.
Learning outcomes:
To be able to:
- Apply the latest COPD guidance
- Understand the diagnostic criteria for a diagnosis
- Identify the goals of COPD management
- Understand the treatment options and tailor them to the patient
- Optimise the non-pharmacological management options
- Recognise patients at risk of exacerbation and hospital admission and how to address this, knowing when to refer
- Provide a good quality review with supported self-management
The event will be held online and details of how to join the event will be emailed out closer to the event date.
It is expected that you will attend the session virtually from a quiet location at which you will not be disturbed, and you will have access to a microphone and camera on your device. Every delegate must have their own device to use throughout this session. This is a requirement for attending this interactive course.
If you no longer require your place on this course place cancel or transfer it so that there is availability for other delegates. To manage your bookings please log into your Learning and Development Centre account and navigate to your course list.
All delegates must have their own booking made through the Learning and Development Centre website to join the meeting. The name on your Zoom account should be recognisable as the name on your booking. If we cannot identify delegates they may not be admitted to the session, or certificates may not be issued after the event.
