The first 5 years after CCT are often a steep learning curve and can bring unique challenges whether you are working as a locum, in a salaried role or as a Partner.

There are a variety of peer learning & support groups, CPD events and networking opportunities available to early career GPs in Devon.

New to Practice Fellowship

If you are within 12m of CCT and working in a substantive post, you are eligible to register for the New to Practice Fellowship run by Devon Training Hub. This includes funded sessional time for education and development as well as free access to peer support groups, mentoring and coaching. We know that when you take those initial steps into independent practice it’s exciting and challenging. Next Generation GP (Devon & Cornwall)

NGGP is a leadership and networking programme funded by NHS England. It provides a series of evening learning events presenting expert speakers and interactive workshops to help develop skills and knowledge to develop your career and drive change. Devon Training Hub GP Small Groups

GP Small groups offer peer support facilitated by a trained psychologist where you can discuss the challenges and complexities of practice in a safe and friendly environment. Groups are run in the evening, currently online. For more information please contact us at
