SUMMARY:Exploring the role of pharmacist leadership in health inequality improvements
DESCRIPTION:In collaboration with NHS England\, this latest session in our health inequalities series explores the impact of specialist respiratory clinics Birmingham\, and the role of health inequalities work in improving prevention. \nIn collaboration with the West Birmingham community care collaborative commissioned by BSOL ICB\, this webinar will highlight how a pharmacist-led paediatric respiratory hub is transforming care for children with respiratory symptoms in Birmingham. Childhood respiratory illness is a significant population health challenge and a key focus of the Core20PLUS5 framework. The West Birmingham neighbourhood team have developed a new clinical pharmacist led paediatric asthma pathway\, offering timely access to diagnostics such as FeNO testing and spirometry through a local community hub. This approach supports earlier diagnosis\, more accurate treatment\, and reduced reliance on urgent care. \nDiscover how this integrated neighbourhood model is improving early diagnosis\, reducing unnecessary treatments\, and delivering more effective care for children—while creating a scalable blueprint for system-wide impact.
