DESCRIPTION:Introduction to Ear Care – 8th October 2025\, 09:30 to 15:30.\nwith Tracey Owen\, Ear Care Specialist.\nKingdom Business Centre\, Kingdom House\, Brunel Road\, Newton Abbot. TQ12 4PB\nThis study day is designed for Nurses\, Registered Nursing Associates\, Healthcare Assistants and Trainee Nursing Associates with no experience in ear irrigation and Instrumentation.  Please note that different training materials will be provided to people in different job roles. \n  \nObjectives/learning outcomes: \nAt the end of the study day the learners should: \n  \n\nHave a theoretical knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the ear.\nBe able to recognise various conditions that can affect the ear and know how to treat them and advise on prevention\nBe able to carry out holistic assessments and plan an appropriate plan of care for patients.\nDemonstrate correct use of equipment\, including decontamination\nDemonstrate correct and safe technique when carrying out:\nOtoscopy  –  within the group\nInstrumentation/ irrigation – on an educational model\n\nThis is a fully catering training event and refreshments and a buffet lunch will be provided.  Please ensure that any dietary needs are stated when you make your booking so that these can be shared with the venue.  \nIf you no longer require your place on this course place cancel it so that there is availability for other delegates.  To cancel a booking please log into your training account\, go to the Centre course list and click on the orange box next to the course name. \nIf you have any questions please contact the team!  ldc.sentinel@nhs.net
