DESCRIPTION:Date: Monday 7 September 2026 \nTime: 19:30 – 21:30 | Online via Zoom \n£7.50 to RCGP members \n£20 to Non-members \n  \nFollowing the hugely successful and popular creative writing sessions with Claire Williamson The South West Faculties wellbeing team have decided to take the sessions forward by offering them on a regular monthly basis rather than three times a year (with a break in the school summer holidays and at Christmas). \nIn order to provide these sessions there will be a very small attendance fee for each session. \nThese sessions are open to all and you do not have to have attended a course with Claire previously. \nWe will continue to offer three FREE sessions with Claire once a year in addition to these sessions. \nClaire Williamson \nOur tutor\, Claire Williamson\, freelance poet and writer\, will guide you gently through these writing sessions. \nThe process is much more about the content than the craft. This event is FREE to RCGP members and is your opportunity to meet with your local Faculty representatives and network with colleagues. \nThis year’s guest speaker is Professor Victoria Tzortziou Brown OBE\, President of Council. \nProf Victoria Tzortziou Brown is the President of RCGP Council and an ex officio member of Trustee Board. She has been an East London GP for over 20 years\, and has worked across health and social care\, academia and with communities. She has worked towards identifying innovative solutions for improving health and care services and narrowing health inequalities. \nShe combines research and extensive clinical commissioning experience. She is currently the Research and Innovation lead of North East London Integrated Care System\, which serves around two million people. She collaborates with NHS\, public health\, academic and VCSE partners towards increasing engagement in research and innovation. \nVictoria has served as the College’s Vice Chair External Affairs\, Honorary Secretary and RCGP London Faculties Chair\, and more recently has co-chaired the RCGP`s Health Inequalities Standing Group. She is a Founding Senior Fellow of the Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management and a non-executive director at Turning Point\, with an OBE for her services in general practice. In her academic role at the Wolfson Institute of Population Health\, Queen Mary University of London\, Victoria undertakes health policy and systems research. She has a particular focus on the design and evaluation of healthcare interventions and impact on professional behaviour and health inequalities. DESCRIPTION:Holistic management of migraine \nTuesday 17 November | 13:00 -13:30 \nOnline \nDr David Kernick and Dr Rebecca Walker continue to support their local GP colleagues under the auspices of Exeter Headache Care\, although funding for the NHS Exeter headache clinic has been terminated. \nThey will be hosting a series of six 30-minute sessions repeated at lunchtime 1-1.30 and early evening 7.30 – 20:00. \nSession 3: Holistic management of migraine \nThere will be a brief 10 minute presentation on an aspect of headache (suggestions welcomed) but the main focus will be on any headache queries and cases you may wish to discuss. \nPlease note that these sessions are for GPs working or living in Devon and Cornwall only.
