DESCRIPTION:ARTP Spirometry Certification Training Bundle – 21st January 2025 and 4th March 2025\nWith Specialist Respiratory Nurse Trainer\, Laura Rush \nPLEASE READ ALL THE INFORMATION BELOW BEFORE MAKING A BOOKING\nSuitable for: \nAll healthcare professionals that perform and/or interpret Spirometry with patients. \nCourse Details: \nDELEGATES ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND BOTH TRAINING DAYS \nTuesday 21st January 2025 – 09:00 to 16:30 \nFace to face training for all delegates \nFresha Exeter\, 23 Bittern Road\, Sowton Industrial Estate\, Exeter EX2 7LW – TBC \nTuesday 4th March 2025 – 09:00 to 13:00 \nFace to face training for all delegates \nFresha Exeter\, 23 Bittern Road\, Sowton Industrial Estate\, Exeter EX2 7LW – TBC \n  \nCourse Information: \nIt is expected that from 31st March 2021\, those healthcare professionals performing and/or interpreting spirometry will be on the National register.   \nThis comprehensive ARTP Certification Training Bundle will provide everything you need to learn and develop essential skills in Spirometry\, and complete the training pathway requested by ARTP.  For more information about Spirometry Certification\, please click here: https://www.artp.org.uk/spirometry-certification \n \n  \nThis course\, designed and delivered by Laura Rush\, will not only give you all the skills required to perform and/or interpret Spirometry but also offer a complete support package for completing the ARTP Certification Pathway\, the costs of which are included in this training bundle. \nThe course fee includes: \n  \n\nFace to face\, dedicated Spirometry training in Exeter over one full day and a half day on 26th September and 24th October 2024 respectively.\nRefreshments throughout and a buffet lunch for all delegates on 26th September 2024.\nOngoing support from Laura Rush with regard to building your certification portfolio.  Resources are provided via google classroom\nLaura will hold a two-hour virtual catch up with delegates to discuss Portfolio content and provide support for the ARTP assessments.\nThe cost of the ARTP certification assessment.\n\n  \nDelegates must have access to a Spirometer\, and should bring their Spirometer to the training days.   If the Spirometer works through software to a PC\, delegates need to arrange for that software to be put onto a laptop in advance of the training days so they can carry out the practical elements.  \n  \n Delegates also need to need to bring antibacterial antiviral filters. \n  \nIt is expected that if you book on this course that you will be undertaking the complete ARTP Certification pathway as described above and that you will do this within the 9-month deadline imposed by ARTP.  We will register delegates for the pathway on completion of the second day of training on 24th October 2024..  You will then have 6 months in which to complete your first submission and a total of 9 months in which to complete all the required exams and the portfolio of evidence. \nSuccessful completion of the ARTP assessment includes entry onto the National Spirometry Register for 12 months.\nAfter this period you will be invited to renew your certificate for a further 12 months at a cost of £40. This will ensure your name remains on the register and your certificate remains valid. DESCRIPTION:Paediatric Asthma Update – 6th March 2024\, 09:30 to 11.30.\nWith Laura Rush\, Specialist Respiratory Nurse. \nThis webinar is aimed at healthcare professionals that are that are already managing asthma patients in practice and would like an update in Paediatric Asthma. \n​\nThis course will cover: \n\nA refresher: overview of paediatric asthma/epidemiology\nThe latest guidance on diagnosing asthma in children:\nWhat makes it more likely?\nWhat about the under 5’s?\nWheeze in early childhood:\nEpisodic viral wheeze\nMultiple trigger wheeze\nThe latest guidance on treating asthma in children\nThe pharmacological and non-pharmacological management of asthma\nOverview of guidelines\nChoosing an inhaler device and inhaler technique\nRecognising and managing acute exacerbations.\nAction Plans and supported self-management\n\n  \n\nIt is expected that you will attend the session virtually from a quiet location at which you will not be disturbed\, and you will have access to a microphone and camera on your device.  Every delegate must have their own device to use throughout this session.  This is a requirement for attending this interactive course. \nThe event will be held online and meeting details will be sent to delegates by email in the week prior to the course date. \nIf you have any queries please contact us! ldc.sentinel@nhs.net
