It hides in plain sight\, often undiagnosed until crisis hits. \n  \nBut frailty is not inevitable. With early identification and a single\, well-delivered Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment (CGA)\, delivered in the community we can help older people live longer\, live better—and at the same time\, cut the workload for health and care teams. \nSuitable for: Professionals working in Health and Social Care \nStudy Day Aims: To increase skills and knowledge with regard to the identification and management of older people with frailty\, leading to the improved population health of older people which translates into reduced healthcare utilisation. \nLearning Outcomes: \n1. Working in partnership with Devon Integrated Care Board (ICB)\, we offer funded opportunities to develop skills that help people take control of their health and wellbeing by focusing on what matters most to them and empowering them to play a central role in their own care. \nCourse OverviewOur 2-day foundation course is suitable for anyone working directly to support people in a health\, wellbeing\, or care capacity\, including Primary Care Networks (PCNs)\, Integrated Neighbourhood Teams\, and the voluntary/community sector. \nThrough this course\, you will develop practical coaching and person-centred communication skills that empower people to take greater control of their health and wellbeing. DESCRIPTION:Complex Wound Management – 9th June 2026\, 09:30 to 12:00.\nThe Watermark\, Erme Court\, Leonards Road\, Ivybridge\, PL21 0SZ.\nWith Alexandra Bishop\, Tissue Viability Nurse Specialist.\nSuitable for: Registered Nurses\, Advanced Practitioners\, GPs \nA course for all clinical healthcare professionals that expands on the popular Introduction to Wound Assessments and Dressings Selection course. Attendees will be able to assess and manage a complex or potentially complex wound. \nPlease note: completion of the course does not confirm competence for non-registered healthcare professionals. Non-registered staff will require approval from their workplace to manage complex wounds. \nLearning outcomes: \n1. Assess a wound confidently. \n2. Identify problems\, signs of infection and how to manage these. \n3. Feel more confident when assessing and planning care for a patient’s wound(s). \n4. Understand how and when to refer a patient to other specialists or teams. \n5. Be able to pack a cavity wound safely. \n6.
