Course Aim:
By the end of this workshop delegates should have improved their understanding of medical terminology and the systems within the body. They should be able to use this knowledge at work to enhance their understanding of terms and abbreviations which in turn will increase effectiveness and job satisfaction.
Course Objective:
To learn more about the more common medical terms with a basic understanding of anatomy linked to systems within the body.
Learning Outcomes:
Break down medical terminology into suffixes, prefixes and root words to understand the meaning
Decipher what area of the body the term relates to
Utilise this knowledge at work with enhanced understanding of terms and abbreviations.
This workshop is limited to 15 delegates.
There is a Workbook which accompanies this course and there is information within that that will support delegates’ learning. This will be distributed to delegates prior to the course.

Please note that we will issue a £15 invoice for places that are not used unless places are cancelled in advance.
It is expected that you will attend the session virtually from a quiet location at which you will not be disturbed, and you will have access to a microphone and camera on your device. Every delegate must have their own device to use throughout this session. This is a requirement for attending this interactive course.
All delegates must have their own booking made through the Learning and Development Centre website to join the meeting. The name on your Zoom account should be recognisable as the name on your booking.
