Transforming healthcare together: Lessons from the Southwest London ear health pilot
May 22 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Hear from colleagues behind an ear health pilot which is helping to bring care closer to home and reduce patient waiting times.
Join the Primary Care Network’s spotlight session on the South West London ENT Clinical network’s ear health pilot, the first of its kind which is ensuring there is equitable access to earwax and hearing health services across south west London.
The current system’s long wait times for earwax removal highlighted a gap in service delivery, with increased demand on primary and secondary care. To address this, the pilot was launched to show the value of pharmacies in supporting the delivery of health care within local communities. The pilot has been highly successful so far, attributed to the collaborative efforts and dedication of pharmacy teams. Several patients have experienced immediate benefits, such as improved hearing, and many have been discharged back to their GP without further intervention.
The pilot demonstrates the potential for pharmacies to serve as clinical settings, providing timely interventions and reducing the burden on hospitals and GP practices.
During the webinar you’ll be able to find out more about the pilot objectives, key achievements, statistics, success stories and much more. There will also be focused discussion particularly around potential barriers and solutions for broader implementation as well as an open floor to ask questions.
