We are pleased to announce a new one-day event, The GP Induction Programme, taking place on the 18th September. This brand-new programme is a one-day event aimed at GP trainees who have just started or are about to start their placement in General Practice.
Aim: To introduce the workings of General Practice to doctors on the GP VTS scheme that are new to General Practice.
Who should attend: GP trainees that are about to start or have just started their placement in General Practice (most likely ST2s).
Learning Outcomes : We aim to cover a variety of topics, to give all trainees a broad understanding of how General Practice works including –
How General Practice fits with the wider NHS
- Introducing PCNs and ARRS roles
- Understanding confidentiality
- GP contracts and income
- The patient journey in primary care
