Blood Interpretation in Primary Care

Join Dr Colin Roberts (GP and Associate Professor Advanced PracticePlymouth University) for this highly requested 4 part interactive series onblood interpretation aimed at Primary Care clinicians.
The learning outcomes for this session include:
- Understand the basic concepts and terminology for blood tests.
- Use a case study approach to increase confidence in requesting and interpreting blood test results.
- Develop an understanding of key blood tests commonly undertaken in general practice and community settings.
- Enhance skills in identifying and managing blood test results that require urgent attention
- Recognise the limitations of practice and understand when to refer patients to specialists.
- Understand the appropriate circumstances for requesting blood tests.
- Learn how often to repeat blood tests based on clinical guidelines and patient condition.
This training is open to all primary care clinicians in the South West – including AHPs, Nurses, PAs, and GPs. The session will be recorded but only those who have attended will have access to this
All Participants MUST attend Session 1 then can choose to attend Session 2, 3 or 4 depending on interest
