Course Information:
It is expected that from 31st March 2021, those healthcare professionals performing and/or interpreting spirometry will be on the National register.
This comprehensive ARTP Certification Training Bundle will provide everything you need to learn and develop essential skills in Spirometry, and complete the training pathway requested by ARTP. For more information about Spirometry Certification, please click here: https://www.artp.org.uk/spirometry-certification
This course, designed and delivered by Laura Rush, will not only give you all the skills required to perform and/or interpret Spirometry but also offer a complete support package for completing the ARTP Certification Pathway, the costs of which are included in this training bundle.
The course fee includes:
- Face to face, dedicated Spirometry training in Exeter over one full day and a half day on 26th September and 24th October 2024 respectively.
- Refreshments throughout and a buffet lunch for all delegates on 26th September 2024.
- Ongoing support from Laura Rush with regard to building your certification portfolio. Resources are provided via google classroom
- Laura will hold a two-hour virtual catch up with delegates to discuss Portfolio content and provide support for the ARTP assessments.
- The cost of the ARTP certification assessment.
Delegates must have access to a Spirometer, and should bring their Spirometer to the training days. If the Spirometer works through software to a PC, delegates need to arrange for that software to be put onto a laptop in advance of the training days so they can carry out the practical elements.
Delegates also need to need to bring antibacterial antiviral filters.
It is expected that if you book on this course that you will be undertaking the complete ARTP Certification pathway as described above and that you will do this within the 9-month deadline imposed by ARTP. We will register delegates for the pathway on completion of the second day of training on 24th October 2024.. You will then have 6 months in which to complete your first submission and a total of 9 months in which to complete all the required exams and the portfolio of evidence.
Successful completion of the ARTP assessment includes entry onto the National Spirometry Register for 12 months.
After this period you will be invited to renew your certificate for a further 12 months at a cost of £40. This will ensure your name remains on the register and your certificate remains valid. Recertification simply involves completing an online annual declaration of maintaining competency in the spirometry certification level, along with the payment of the renewal fee.
Please note that the Learning and Development Centre will not be involved in the recertification process.
This training will be delivered face to face at the venue shown above. More information and meeting details will be emailed to delegates closer to the event date.
If you no longer require your place on this course place cancel it so that there is availability for other delegates. To cancel a booking please log into your Learning and Development Centre account, go to the Centre course list and click on the orange box next to the course name.
