Abbott Nutrition Education – Frailty – the impact of malnutrition/muscle loss and the affect on patient outcome – 5th December 2024, 13:00 to 14:00.

Course Summary:

During this session Dr Lisk will discuss what frailty is, the national perspective on frailty, why early identification is important in improving patients’ outcomes, recognised screening tools and why nutrition plays a vital role in reversing the effects of frailty.

Guest Speaker:

Dr Lisk is a Consultant Physician in Acute Medicine and Geriatric Medicine at Barnet Hospital since 2005, he is the Deputy Head of School of Medicine in HEE London, a visiting lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire, he is also a Clinical Associate Professor at UCL Medical school along with being the Quality Lead at the Royal College of Physicians specialty advisory committee for internal medicine training. Dr Lisk is well published and is frequent speaker at national and international conferences inspiring and imparting his wealth of knowledge and experience in this field.

It is expected that you will attend the session virtually from a quiet location at which you will not be disturbed, and you will have access to a microphone and camera on your device.  Every delegate must have their own device to use throughout this session.  This is a requirement for attending this interactive course.

This is a live online teaching event; meeting details will be sent to delegates in the week prior to the course date.
