DIABETES PRACTICE NURSE FORUM.
For Practice Nurses, ANPs, Nursing Associates and HCAs with
an interest in Diabetes.
Run by Community Diabetes Specialist Nurses – Julie
Worthington and Ali Quarmby.
Date- Thursday 30th June 2022.
Time- 1pm to 3.30 pm
Venue- The Copthorne Hotel, Plymouth. PL1 1AR
1pm start with lunch then speakers.

Topics and Speakers this afternoon.
Cath Dawson- Diabetes Specialist Nurse in Pre-Conception.
Cath runs the Pre-Con clinic at Derriford and will update us
on ensuring that all in General Practice and our patients with Diabetes of a
child bearing age are aware of the service for a safe pregnancy and how to
refer them.
Mark Oliver (an IT Wizard) will then give us an brief update
on Virtual Clinics in the community and the latest on the PARM tool and how we
can use this to effectively review our patients remotely.
Journal Club. Review of the latest articles in the Diabetes
Journals. We’re all too busy to read all the journals so just a few of the
latest, relevant and most interesting articles.
