Do you work in the
elderly care setting are you interested in getting an update on caring for the
older residents with diabetes?
specialist nurses are running six sessions in the local area to provide a general
update. These sessions are FREE, supported by local funding from the STP
Each session will
last up to 3 hours and provide an update on diabetes care including; making a
diagnosis, dietary advice, treatment options for type 1 and type 2 diabetes,
managing diabetes complications (hypoglycaemia, hyperglycaemia). A community podiatrist
will also provide a presentation.
The sessions are
suitable for registered nurses and health care assistants, who work in the care
settings such as in residential, nursing or care homes. Handouts will be
